Alan Smith
Alan Smith is the owner and President of WCS Quality Registrars LLC. A native of Scotland, Alan has been a prominent figure in the ISO auditing in Houston and North America since 1998. Prior to starting WCS Quality Registrars in July 2007, Alan was employed by OTS Quality Registrars, Inc. since 1998 where he steadily worked his way up to become the Vice President of the company. Alan is a Registered Lead Auditor, for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 and AS 9100 Quality Management Systems with over 1000 audits logged.
Alan is educated to Masters Degree level in Metallurgical Engineering and has over 20 years experience in Quality Assurance Management. He has extensive experience in manufacturing including over 10 years experience in tier one automotive supply. Trained in Statistical Process Control at the Dearborn Institute of Technology in Detroit Michigan, he taught SPC at Fanshawe College of Technology in Ontario, Canada. Alan has worked and educated on five continents with extensive work experience in Europe, Canada, South Africa and the United States.
Evelyn Smith
Evelyn W. Smith is the Vice President Finance and Administration of WCS Quality Registrars LLC. Making sure the administration side of the company is running smoothly, Evelyn and her staff are responsible for audit reports, plans, invoicing and of course following up on those corrective actions!
Evelyn has a background in finance and was for over 15 years employed as a Banking Officer at several financial institutions in her native home, Scotland. In the 12 years prior to joining WCS, Evelyn was instrumental in the startup and operations of the Training Division of OTS Quality Registrars, Inc. A keen fitness enthusiast, she taught corporate fitness classes in Houston in her spare time, and does her best to encourage our team here at WCS Quality Registrars, LLC to keep in shape. Evelyn currently enjoys power walking and yoga.
Maria Avilez
Maria joined the Houston administration staff in October 2013. She is our Audit Administration Supervisor and oversees all administration processes connected with our clients’ accreditation. Maria supports the administration team and ensures excellent customer services. In her spare time Maria enjoys watching soccer.
Josie Wilhite
Josie joined the Houston administration team in June 2014 and came to us with 4 years customer service skills. Here at WCS, Josie takes care of our auditor competency program, and the ongoing training of our skilled team of auditors.
In her spare time she enjoys heading out to the ranch for the weekend for a change of scenery, some four wheeling and quality time with her boyfriend Sean and their Chocolate Lab, Ryder!
Jeff Sendziak
Jeff, originally from Chicago, IL., is a Lead Auditor and Client Manager for ISO 9001. Jeff attended Moraine Valley Community College seeking a degree in engineering and business. Jeff moved to Denton Texas, raised his family and has worked in the manufacturing arena for thirty plus years. His work experience includes manufacturing of components, subassemblies and structures, domestic and export packaging, shipping, receiving, stores attendant and fork lift operator, metal fabrication, CNC machining, team lead, shop coordinator and quality in the manufacturing of communication systems. Jeff began working for a large OEM in the aerospace industry in 1993 where he worked manufacturing electrical and electronic subassemblies, developmental electrical and electronics, quality and on the job trainer, supplier quality specialist and quality engineering within the industry. Currently, Jeff is based in Dallas Texas, he enjoys baseball, football, hockey and spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing.
Gricelda Ojeda
Grisi joined WCS in October 2015 and is part of the Houston accounting team. At WCS Grisi is responsible for accounts payable and client contracts. In her spare time she enjoys playing ladies soccer however that may be on hold for a while now that her new baby daughter, Eliza, was born on 6 July 2018. Congratulations to the proud parents.
Joshua H. Farmer
Josh, from Houston, Texas, is the Technical Manager, as well as a Lead Auditor for ISO. He has 10 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a submarine nuclear propulsion plant supervisor, including quality assurance inspections. He has over 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry supervising maintenance and testing of well control equipment. Josh graduated from Thomas Edison State University with a BS in Nuclear Engineering Technology.
Josh is based in Houston, TX and lives with his wife Jenna. He enjoys traveling, marksmanship, craft beer, and training their Labrador Retriever.
Gabriel Aleman
Gabriel, originally from Houston, TX, is a lead auditor and client manager for ISO 9001. Before joining WCS Gabriel designed, developed and implemented Quality Management Systems for various manufacturing settings in the Houston, TX area. Gabriel has more than 10 years within Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry. He is bilingual in Spanish and English, his communication skills facilitate understanding and add value to each audit. Gabriel is a big sports fan and enjoys coaching youth basketball, as well as youth football.
Graham Reid
Graham, from Dundee in Scotland, is now based in Houston, TX and is the Audit Operation Assurance Manager, as well as a Lead Auditor for ISO. Graham graduated from the University of Abertay in Dundee with a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering. Graham recently transferred to Houston from the WCS UK office. Before joining the company, Graham had 17 years’ experience in the automotive industry.
Graham is married to Claire and enjoys socializing and all forms of sport. He is a keen golfer and hockey player and you will often find him on a golf course in his spare time.
Jeremy Miller
As a lead auditor for WCS Quality Registrars, Jeremy received certification for ISO 9001:2015 auditing in 2019. He is a native Houstonian, but has spent the majority of his career in Austin, TX as an entrepreneur and professor of business management at Concordia University. He holds a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, as well as an MBA and undergraduate degree in business management and electronic systems technology.
Claire Reid
Claire is originally from Dundee, Scotland but is now based in Houston, Texas. She joined the company in February 2020 as a Business Process Specialist and is part of the administration team in the Houston office. At the beginning of her working career, Claire spent ten years in the insurance industry gaining experience in a variety of departments for personal insurance including accounts, underwriting and claims. In 2007, she realized her dream of becoming a teacher after achieving a first-class honors ‘Bachelor of Education’ degree at the University of Dundee. Claire then spent almost twelve years teaching at the High School of Dundee. During this time, she had responsibility for the Charities and Community Outreach for the entire school of 1,000 pupils. Claire has excellent organizational and inter-personal skills. She is married and enjoys spending time with her family as well as socializing with friends, keeping active and travelling.
